Starting Our Elder Scrolls Journey Together

So, I’ve started playing The Elder Scrolls Online. That was probably my main activity during my week off. I know the game’s a bit older, but it was just under five euros on Steam, and since both my wife and I were in the mood for a role-playing game we could play together, we took the opportunity and both got The Elder Scrolls.

Even though the game isn't exactly new anymore, you can tell right away when entering the open world that it’s still very much alive. That takes some getting used to if you’re not familiar with MMOs. My last experience with one was Destiny – a game I loved, but don’t play anymore. Personally, ESO would be even better for me if it were sci-fi, but sci-fi MMOs are pretty rare, and my wife isn’t really into anything like Destiny. But that’s just an aside, not a complaint.

I’m really glad we found something with ESO that we can enjoy together – apart from Animal Crossing, which is currently on pause. It’s something that’s fun for both of us and hopefully will bring us joy for a long time.

Of course, we’re still at the very beginning. It took us three tries to get our characters just the way we wanted.

We both play as Nords. Baduhilt is a Warden who can summon animals to aid her in battle, so she primarily uses Magicka. She wears medium armor but wields a heavy two-handed axe.

It’s fun to go on adventures together. In the evenings, we used to watch Netflix – now we’re replacing that with Elder Scrolls. I’m excited to see where our journey takes us.
